Badarina, Serralunga d'Alba
- Plot surface area: 3500 m2
- Average height: 400 m
- Exposure: south - east
- Variety: Nebbiolo Lampia
The geological substrate is that typical of Serralunga and Alta Langa, among the oldest and richest in limestone. However, in this area, it appears in a less common form, with minimal presence of Langa stone. The soil is predominantly composed of gray silty marl, interspersed with layers of sand. The vineyards thrive on calcareous-clayey soil, characterized by high water retention and excellent fertility.
This unique terroir undoubtedly imparts the wine with remarkable structure, complexity, and longevity. Its intense and persistent aromas are complemented by notable freshness, a hallmark of the area's elevation.
Sant'Anna, Monforte d'Alba
- Plot surface area: 16 hectares
- Height: from 380 to 480 m
- Main exposure: west
The soil here takes its most typical form, rich in limestone with outcrops of Langa stone and shallower layers. It is primarily composed of gray silty marl, interspersed with layers of sand and stone. The vineyards are cultivated on highly calcareous, clayey soils, which appear whitish due to continuous slope erosion, offering moderate water retention and fertility.
This unique terrain, combined with the area's exposure, altitude, and constant winds, imparts the wines with exceptional elegance, intense and persistent aromas, and remarkable complexity.
